It’s a well known fact that micro-managers have their own non-traditional and unique point of view on the things that normally make perfect sense.

Here’s how micro-managers misinterpret some great inspirational leadership quotes and quotations.

“You don’t manage people, you manage things. You lead people.” Grace Hopper

“I lead people by giving them things to do so I don’t have to do anything.” Micro-manager.

“A leader’s role is to raise people’s aspirations for what they can become and to release their energies so they will try to get there.” David R. Gergen

“I set up false expectations to release people’s energies so I can use them to get where I want and to become what I want.” Micro-manager

“Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” Warren G. Bennis

“My leadership is the capacity to translate my tunnel vision into reality in which I am the Big Boss.” Micro-manager

“Surround yourself with the best people you can find, delegate authority, and don’t interfere as long as the policy you’ve decided upon is being carried out.” Ronald Reagan

“I surround myself with lazy liars and favorites, delegate all the hard work to my scapegoats, and interfere every time anyone might become successful.” Micro-manager

“Management is efficiency in climbing the ladder of success; leadership determines whether the ladder is leaning against the right wall.” Stephen Covey

“My ladders of success lean against all the walls at all times. There might be a moment when I have to climb the one closest to me to save my career by leaving everyone else behind.” Micro-manager

To be continued.

This is a creative blog. I like the layout. Creative way to destress. Wish I would have know about while working for a chauffeur company at one of the hotels in NY. The hotel didn’t let me drink water near the hotel or vehicle. Instead of telling me directly that they didn’t like it, they told the company I worked for who emailed and texted me incessantly to kiss A– because they were scared that they would lose the contract with the hotel. Did you ever imagine how much damage a cup of water could do?
